Raspberry Beet


My favorite way to enjoy smoothies are thick and creamy like ice cream. This raspberry beet “nicecream” is just that! With 50% of the recipe coming from detoxifying beets… there are so many health benefits locked into this smoothie.

Raspberries contain polyphenols which give them their anti-inflammatory properties as well as allow the to fight off free radicals. Raspberries pair perfectly with beets and provide a vibrant colored smoothie.

Beets are high in immune-boosting vitamin C, and essential minerals like potassium. They are high in antioxidants and contain a whole lot of anti-inflammatory properties.  The beets not only provide this smoothie with an abundance of nutrients but they give it its vibrant color… its no secret they are the star of the show.

I blended:

1/2 frozen banana

1/2 cup frozen raspberries

1 frozen sliced medium beet

1/4 cup riced cauliflower frozen

1 cup homemade macadamia milk

1 tbsp @manitobaharvest hemp hearts

OPTIONAL protein powder: I used 1 scoop @standardprocess medical grade dairy free

OPTIONAL collagen boost: I used 1 scoop @vitalproteins NEW blackberry collagen peptides

Topped this smoothie with hemp hearts, and banana stars.
