Healthy Shamrock Shake

Healthy Shamrock Shake

 

It’s that time of the year again when those shamrock shakes start to pop up all over the place, so I created a healthier version of the classic drive through version. It’s full of fiber, vitamin, minerals, and antioxidants + it also has a fun green color too! Truth is, it is all about the texture. The trick here is using the frozen fruits and vegetables to thicken up the shake and make it thick and creamy like a real milkshake.

 

 

Here is how to make it:

 

3/4 cup plant based milk

1/2 small avocado or I love using 365 by whole foods frozen chunks

1 handful fresh or frozen baby spinach

1 small frozen banana

1/4 teaspoon pure peppermint extract or 1 pinch fresh mint leaves

1 scoop parsley protein 

 

Optional Sweeteners:

1 pitted date, 1 tsp Manuka honey, pinch monk fruit extract

Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth. If using dates as your sweetener, blend everything without it then add the date in last and blend again until smooth.
